You’re new to Windows 10 and you want to browse the web, so you open up the new browser “Microsoft Edge”. You may or may not have noticed that Microsoft tends to suggest using Microsoft things… One example of this is Bing. For instance, you might start typing in the web address bar, click Enter and anticipate seeing ‘Google’ followed by your search results, but instead you see that Bing has loaded your search results. Not to worry though, this can be changed to Google or to any of your favourite search providers.
Follow the steps to set your default search engine to Google or any of your choice:
- Open Microsoft Edge
- Click on the ellipsis (the button on the top-right with 3 dots)
- Click on Settings
- Under Advanced Settings press View Advanced Settings
- Under Search in the address bar with click on Change
- Select any search engine of your choice and then press Set as default
