We like to get email notifications about our customer backups and we ran into a an error when configuring one of our sites. While configuring SBS2011 backup report emails I received the following error message;

To Fix the SBS2011 backup report emails you need to do the following

  • Go into Exchange Management Console
  • Navigate to Server Configuration and then Hub Transport
  • Then go to the Properties of your Receive Connector
  • Click the Network Tab and you should see that it is set to All Available IP Addresses
  • Simply change this so that it is just the IP address of your server as per the screenshot below and the backup report emails will work once again.
