wsusWindows Update services is a good idea but for smaller companies running SBS 2011 or 2008 the WSUS directory grows and ends up using a lot of the disk space.  Also the WSUS database uses up a lot of memory on the server.

You can uninstall WSUS to claim back this disk space and to also free up server resources.

You need to run the following commands;

32bit Systems: msiexec /x {CEB5780F-1A70-44A9-850F-DE6C4F6AA8FB} callerid=ocsetup.exe

64bit Systems: msiexec /x {BDD79957-5801-4A2D-B09E-852E7FA64D01} callerid=ocsetup.exe

Once the above has completed you can simply remove Windows Update Services within Programs and Features in the Control Panel and then just delete the WSUS directory.
